Nanotechnology Regulators Make News - Earth Times, USA
"Officials from the Food and Drug Administration, Environmental Protection Agency and other agencies are more and more being asked to answer questions about the federal government's ability to regulate possible nanotechnology risk like the 'nano-readiness' of existing laws, sufficient resources and adequate safety research."

The quirky vendors and advertisers are cheating the nation by using the “nano” word to promote goods, RIA Novosti reported referring to Russia’s First Deputy Prime Minister Sergei Ivanov.
So far, the product with “nano“ word in its name is just an advertising trick, as it is yet to be licensed, Ivanov specified, giving the so-called anti-rust nano-zinc and nano-crème as examples.

Nanotechnology, although still only an emerging science, is already being used in a vast array of products in several industries, including the food industry.
More 600 nanofood products are already available on the global market, according to new data from the Helmut Kaiser Consultancy (HKC).
Moreover, HKC predicts a change of 40 to 60 per cent in the food industry by 2015 as a result of nanotechnology.
