Nanotechnology in everyday life - WNYT, USA
Nanotechnology is already used in hundreds of products, maybe even the skin cream you just put on. From cars, to condoms, to tennis balls, nanotechnology is out of the lab and in the items we use every day.

"People would be shocked if they realized what they're using, eating, wearing, applying on their face, all these products incorporate nanoparticles, nanomaterials, nanocomponents in one form or another," says Dr. Raj Bawa of Bawa Biotechnology. But with the promise of amazing advances, come concerns about possible new health and environmental hazards.

Enter the NanoLands nanotechnology challenge in Second Life - NanoWerk, USA
NanoLands, the nanoscience and nanotechnology hub of Second Life, sponsored by the UL's National Physical Laboratory (NPL), unveiled an exciting new program: The NanoLands Challenge.

NPL is challenging you to imagine and build an interesting exhibit about nanoscience or nanotechnology – and if your idea has merit, then NPL will award you $400 or $700 US dollars.

Nanotechnology or Not? - Enviro.BLR.Com, USA
EPA is notifying manufacturers of silver ion generating machines that they will be regulated-but claims this is not an action to regulate nanotechnology. The Agency recently issued a notice in the Federal Register indicating that machines that generate silver ions or other ionic substances for express pesticidal purposes will be regulated as pesticides.
