Public consultation on Safety of Nanomaterials in Cosmetic Products - European Commission, UE
The European Commission has requested the Scientific Committee on Consumer Products (SCCP) to prepare an opinion on "Safety of Nanomaterials in Cosmetic Products'. The preliminary version of the opinion can be found here.
The report provides a review of the applicability of currently available risk assessment methods to nanomaterials in cosmetic products, recommends a general approach in order to assess the health risks of nanomaterials in cosmetic products and identifies data and methodological gaps where further research and development is needed.
