Every generation of industrial development has brought us new pollutants, and there is growing concern about the toxicity of mass-produced nanomaterials.

There's an increasing chance that the stuff you use to clean your face or shampoo your hair contains submicroscopic particles. But while the list of consumer products using nanomaterials is growing fast, regulation of them is not.
